Our teams clean a lot of empty apartments, and the walkthrough that follows is remarkably predictable. Landlords and agents look at the same five things in the same order, and deposits are won or lost on those five things long before anyone opens a closet.

The five places they check

• Inside the oven, including the door glass and the racks

• Inside the fridge and freezer, with the shelves pulled out

• Bathroom grout, the shower glass and around the toilet base

• The tops of cabinets and the range hood filter

• Window tracks, blinds and the sills behind them

Everything else, floors, walls, counters, gets a glance. Those five get a close look, and they are the five most people run out of time for on moving day.

What to do before we arrive

Have the furniture out and the utilities still on. We need hot water and light. Take photos of any damage that was there when you moved in, and leave the landlord’s checklist on the counter if you have one.

What a move‑out clean covers

All fifty checklist points plus the inside of every cabinet, drawer, closet and appliance. The team photographs the oven, fridge and bathrooms when they are done, so you have a timestamped record if anything is questioned.

Timing

Book for the day after the movers and before the final walkthrough. Most cleans take five to seven hours for a three-bedroom, and the office confirms the date within a business day.
